In a fast-changing world, it is always a challenge to stay abreast of technology and constantly keep learning. Corporate leaders also have the challenge of retaining top talent, particularly those who wish to pursue higher studies.
In a bid to address both these imperatives, ELCITA and IIIT-Bangalore have announced a new initiative whereby employees of our member organizations will be able to pursue an M.Tech programme while they are still working.
This programme was put together in response to industry requests for a viable way for their engineers with a B.Tech degree to earn an M.Tech degree while remaining employed. The model we evolved was that a given company would sponsor its select employees to pursue an M.Tech degree with IIIT-Bangalore, and the course was structured closer to a weekend to enable employees to continue to do their day jobs during the week.
ELCITA piloted this program with a single company – with a minimum batch size of 30 – and this has proved to be a success, with over 150 employees acquiring a Master’s degree.
This course will be launched and it will provide immense value to companies and their employees. All are invited to attend a seminar at IIIT Bangalore where the course details can be discussed.
