Waste Management Workshop – 16th February

0 48

Electronics City Industrial Township Authority (ELCITA) invites its members to a workshop on Waste Management to fine tune the operations and manage waste better on 16th February 2016 at Hotel Radha Regent, Bangalore. The event brings together noted government officials, industry experts and solution providers to explore opportunities for collaboration such as Subodh Yadav, BBMP Special Commissioner, SWM; MuniRaju, Joint Commissioner, Bommanahalli Zone – BBMP; Ramdas Kamath, Exec VP / Head Infrastructure, Infosys; CB Raghunandan, VP & Head, Facilities Managment Group, Wipro; Nalini Shekar, Co-Founder, Hasirudala; S.R. Maley, Eco Save Mumbai (an expert who has pioneered and implemented low cost landfill restoration projects).

Electronics City has a solid waste management strategy in place where large enterprises handle their own waste and ELCITA has taken the responsibility of handling the waste of small and medium enterprises. We take this opportunity to appreciate the best practises of large enterprise and the co-operation extended by medium and small enterprises in sustainable waste management.

Over the last few years, Waste Management at E-city has come a long way with 74 companies signing up with ELCITA for destination bound processing of waste and about 3 tons of waste per day coming to the waste collection centre. In order to take this effort to the next level and be a model township we require collaborative effort from all of you to ensure minimum waste to landfill.

The workshop would witness a wide range of discussions from tabling the challenges to leveraging the opportunities on waste management for E-city and its neighborhood. There is an exclusive panel discussion on the best practices for waste management from reputed organizations such as Wipro, Infosys, GSK, ITC Gardenia, and Infoactiv. ELCITA would also be sharing its work on waste management and felicitating small and medium enterprises who have taken steps to handle waste responsibly at E-city.

Is your organization looking to be a part of the revolution in Waste Management? Do you want to be a part of it? All you need to do is send an email from your official email ID by the 8th of February to subhan@elcita.in indicating who would represent your organization. And, don’t forget to mention the names and email IDs. A lucky dip contest is also arranged for the participating companies with exciting prizes to be won.
