Aruna C. Newton is a distinguished professional with over 36 years of diverse experience spanning Leadership Development, Diversity Consulting, and ESG. She currently heads the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) portfolio at Infosys and significantly advanced the company’s DEI initiatives. She Played a pivotal role in introducing the Maternity Amendment Act in India and is actively involved in NASSCOM’s Women Wizards Rule Technology (W2RT) program, which has empowered over 7,000 women with new and emerging technology skills.

Aruna also leads Infosys’ ESG Governance and Reporting, driving the company’s ESG Vision 2030 and achieving industry-first milestones in ESG reporting. Her contributions have earned her numerous accolades, including the WILL Women’s Choice Award and the title of The Most Happening Woman in Bangalore – 2011.
