Electronics City Industrial Township Authority (ELCITA) has successfully achieved Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWTL) certification from TÜV Rheinland, marking a significant milestone in its sustainability journey. With an exceptional 100% waste diversion rate, ELCITA continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to environmental stewardship and responsible waste management.

This certification marks the second consecutive year that ELCITA has met the rigorous standards required for Zero Waste to Landfill, reinforcing its position as a leader in sustainable urban and industrial management.

Certified Excellence in Waste Management

The ZWTL certification validates that all waste generated across ELCITA’s operations is effectively diverted away from landfills through recycling, recovery, and responsible processing methods. The assessment, conducted by TÜV Rheinland, confirms compliance with global sustainability benchmarks and best practices.

This achievement extends across Sustainability Parks in Electronics City and Doddathogur, reflecting a holistic and well-integrated waste management ecosystem.

Driving Sustainability Across Electronics City

ELCITA’s Zero Waste to Landfill initiative is the result of consistent efforts in:

  • Efficient waste segregation and processing
  • Strengthening recycling and recovery systems
  • Collaborating with certified waste management partners
  • Continuous monitoring and process improvement

Together, these efforts contribute to reducing environmental impact while supporting long-term ecological balance within the township.

A Continuing Commitment

Achieving Zero Waste to Landfill certification for the second year underscores ELCITA’s unwavering dedication to sustainability and environmental leadership. As Electronics City continues to grow, ELCITA remains focused on embedding sustainable practices into every aspect of urban and industrial management.

We invite stakeholders and the community to join us in celebrating this milestone and supporting our ongoing journey toward a greener, more sustainable future.
