Revised Traffic Plan for Electronics City!
As you are aware, we had implemented a one-way traffic system on our west phase roads from the morning of Friday the 20th December, 2024 onwards.
While we are encouraged by the results, we wish to extend the trial period for a further period since the traffic density has been low during the last several days across Electronics City. Also, based on the experience, we have decided to make a few changes to the plan in consultation with our traffic consultant and the traffic police authorities. The revised plan is attached hereto.
Important changes to be noted are:
- The Wipro Avenue from BHEL Junction to Paramount Junction will allow two-way traffic as before.
- The direction of traffic on the road from SBI Junction to Paramount Junction will be reversed and run from Paramount to SBI junction.
- The direction of flow of traffic has been reversed as follows: Police Station → Fire Service Station → Golhalli Junction → Canara Bank Junction
The revised plan will be implemented with effect from Saturday the 4th January 2025 and will be on trial for 15 days. The initial plan will continue to be in place till the evening of the 3rd January 2025.
Our teams continue to work round-the-clock to manage this change. We have deployed traffic wardens at all junctions and our security managers are at site and at our command centre viewing the flow of traffic on CCTV footage. We have more than 500 CCTV cameras covering our roads in Electronics City giving us live footage which help us to monitor live.
As mentioned earlier, this implementation is on trial currently. We shall continue to review the results and based on our observation and the final approval received from the Traffic Police Authorities, we shall implement a more permanent plan after the trial period.
We thank you for your co-operation, patience and understanding.
